This is a collaborative work with my daughter, Karen Murray Lewis, who took this photo which I have abstracted. These are 3 of my grandsons, and the purpose of this joint work is to portray a loving family of a down syndrome child. Seba and Tristen love Gabriel very much and are very protective, attentive, and heedful of him. A loving family is the essence of family life or indeed life.

An old hound guards a dilapidated wooden outhouse on top of a grassy hill. Despite being an ignoble job, she still does her best and remains vigilant.

Back to some shadow play and simple minimalism. A few life lessons I've learned this summer:

(1) import/export warehouses are always worth exploring.
(2) look for corrugated walls everywhere you go.
(3) make sure the lines are straight.
(4) shadows almost always make things more interesting.
