This male chimp is referred to as "Mr. Black" by park rangers. He's 38 years old (same as me), which is old for a wild chimpanzee. We watched him for an hour while he sat and ate palm fruits.

A. afarensis had a tall face, a delicate brow ridge, and prognathism (the jaw jutted outwards). The jawbone was quite robust, similar to that of gorillas.
