Rear-side-quarter shot of a Canadian-assembled, British market-specified RHD export 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 Custom Ranch Wagon, 5-door, 6-passenger station wagon, [71B]. Fitted W/ V8 engine (possibly a retrofit 302 crate?), aftermarket “Cragar SS” mag wheels, painted in a faded/patina’d shade of “Raven Black” W/ vinyl roof, tinted black windows. Six-character black plate registration; “AJY 50B”, imported to the UK early in 1964. According to the owner (who has had the car since 1982), the car was originally used as a hearse, then after being customised, was taken drag racing at the legendary York raceway. Recently come out of long-term storage from a barn. Previously seen under-cover: www.flickr.com/photos/170082019@N03/53316963796/
