St. Louis Union Station, a National Historic Landmark, was a passenger train terminal in St. Louis, Missouri. Once the world's largest and busiest train station, it was converted in the early 1980s into a hotel, shopping center, and entertainment complex. Today, it serves only local rail (MetroLink) transit passengers.
Lodging Hospitality Management bought Union Station in 2012. It rebranded the hotel as a Double Tree.

Fang des Lebens
Frischer Seefisch ist nach wie vor einer der wichtigsten Nahrungs- und Eiweißquellen in Ozeanien. Der Gegensatz zur industriellen Fischerei, der darauf spezialisiert ist, möglichst schnell viel Fisch zu fangen, ist die traditionelle Fischerei: Im Vordergrund steht nicht der Massenfang, sondern eine bedarfsorientierte Selbstversorgung durch eine gezielte und nachhaltige Fischerei.
Seit Jahrhunderten entwickeln und verfeinern die Menschen auf den Pazifik-Inseln ihre Fangtechniken. So entstanden kunstvoll gearbeitete Köder und Fanggeräte, die jeweils für den Fang bestimmter Tierarten angepasst sind.
