port adriano has been designed by philippe starck and is a relatively new harbour in the south-west of mallorca, between santa ponca and magaluf. apparently they seem to have some works so when i was leaving the underground parking i enjoyed the view to this industrial vessel. "This photograph depicts an urban scene viewed from within a dimly lit garage or underground area, looking out towards a brightly lit outdoor space. In the foreground, there are grey concrete steps leading upwards, flanked by white walls. At the top of the stairs, there is a view of a busy construction or maintenance site, indicated by the presence of various equipment and vehicles. There are large reels of cable. The contrast between the shadowy interior and the illuminated exterior is striking, with the daylight revealing the details of the industrial equipment and machinery. It's a candid and unembellished snapshot of harbour life, blending elements of architecture, urban planning, and industrial activity."
i was surprised by the contrasts and contradictions in this scene. a young, pretty woman, formally dressed with perfect posture, writing something in an analogue calendar. but drinking a beer with it. when I approached her to ask if I could take her picture, she was polite and friendly. allowed me to photograph her and was not surprised or disturbed by my request but immediately returned to her work very focused. made me curious about whatever could she have been writing?
I took this photo of the forest among the ruins of the Angkor temples in 2016, and I hadn't processed it until now. The reason was a clearing among the trees that, due to its brightness, caught the attention powerfully, overshadowing the main subject. Everything was in its place in the photo: a foreground that described the context very well, with the aligned stones directing the gaze towards the main subject, an interesting mid-range shot with the long roots announcing the wild nature of the forest, and the directional and enveloping light highlighting the structure and emphasizing its texture. I was missing the generative fill of the new Photoshop Beta to recreate the vegetation in those small gaps in the forest. That's why I have waited until today.
After not posting photos for a few months for various reasons, I want to say hi to all my friends and contacts :)
Among the reasons for not being active in Flickr is that I have been pursuing other artistic stuff that will go hand in hand with photography and music.
It has been a also a very busy summer with lots of house chorus and also renovations that really have kept me very busy.
I had the wonderful opportunity to stay two weeks in Portugal, what an amazing place, I'm looking forward coming back some day soon. I found a link to this wonderful place so you can have an idea where is situated, but most of all so you can see why I say this place is special:

Photography is one of my passions, and nature photography is my favorite.
I have been in Explore for more that a hundred times, and it is an awesome experience to have your photos showcased in such a special way.
I thank your for coming today, for leaving a comment, and make a favorite of yours this photo, (if that is the case) thanks again!
The best part of this forum is the contacts and friends that I have made over the years, that have the same passion for this art that is called photography!
Martha.
