Kind of diorama in a very dark corner of the shop described below.
On the ground floor of the James Ensor House there is a shell and souvenir shop that used to be owned by Ensor's uncle and aunt. Ensor (1860-1949) closed the shop in 1917 but left it intact in memory of his deceased relatives.
This very old, fully articulated French marionette puppet was seen in the Château Gué-Péan.

Lower Old Pier, I was told this was the first pier and as it perished the new one further round was built, I do like to see these old posts still there and sea washed after all the years.
As part of my first visit to the region, I had just under a week to explore Kyrgyzstan with my brother in April. We rented an old 4x4 and set off to explore and had an absolutely wonderful visit. The roads were challenging at times, but loads of fun. People were incredibly friendly and kind. The food was delightful. The horse herds and landscapes fascinating. Before the visit I didn't know what to expect, but Kyrgyzstan absolutely delighted us with its kindness, hospitality and beauty.
