45041 'Royal Tank Regiment' prepares for departure from Peterborough Nene Valley to work the 12:35 to Wansford with LMS Jubilee 45596 'Bahamas' on the rear (out of shot at the water column) on 15 December 2024.
In 1980 Peak No.45041 ‘Royal Tank Regiment’ is pictured passing the old Llanharan foot crossing on the weekly Sunday afternoon Swansea to Manchester service.
The opencast coal delivery setup in the background and slag heaps have well gone and are now a housing estate.
