The brown paint really flatters the red of the bricks this evening doesn't it. False front leaning back. by Tim Kiser

© Tim Kiser, all rights reserved.

The brown paint really flatters the red of the bricks this evening doesn't it. False front leaning back.

The Stark County Auditor website says the left half of the building is from 1919 and the right half is from 1927. Since the two halves are united by a single symmetrical false front, I HAVE CHOSEN TO BELIEVE that its current appearance is more 1927 than 1919.

Moreover I have decided that my belief shall become everybody's truth.

I advise my clients to do their best to try to hide their dumpsters from the direct view of potential customers.

The wall looks sanitary on account of its shine. People can puke and it wipes right off.

A reminder (again) that in the U.S. the word "these" has been inherently funny/campy since 1983, on account of its use/[non-]use in the title refrain of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)."

2 modest brick buildings mess with my view of the impressively large parking garage.

Wish I could stand here and see the whole thing!, demolish the brick buildings.

An awning's double awnings in a dirty and wet area. by Tim Kiser

An awning's double awnings in a dirty and wet area.

It is the entrance to "The Rusty Pelican," a wineshop in Gaylord, Michigan.

The absurd proliferation of awnings, the "damaged bird" theme of the business name, the mess of severe winter, the wine, "The Rusty Dumpster," the smalltown inland Northern Lower Peninsula locale known mainly for asshole snowmobilers — the commercial messaging of this wineshop is entirely incoherent.

Brown fan building with gray television and blue trash in Ohio.

On hot Ohio nights in July and August I park my bed on the other side of the fan and I turn it on. The noise purrs me to sleep as the breeze blows over me. Beforehand I flip closed the dumpster cover on my way into the building.

The building is said to have been erected in the year 1900 and remodeled in 1965. Will you believe it!
