These moths are active day and night, this one was flying around midnight at Epilobium angustifolium (Rosebay Willowherb or Fireweed in North America)

These vibrant fireweed flowers add a splash of color to the landscape. Their magenta petals and tall stems are simply stunning

This post and the previous one were inspired by a novel I just finished where a lead character who is an accomplished artist and gallery owner complains about how all the popular art, the ones that sell, are "fruit and flowers".
This robust plant just popped up this year in a large planter - it must have been a gift from the birds. I almost pulled it out.
