Portugal, Estremadura, Cova de Iria, Fatima. 2017-05-12.
A group of Portuguese pilgrims arrive with banners at the sanctuary in Fatima and embrace each other upon the successfully completed walking journey.
Every year, tens of thousands of Portuguese of all ages and from all over the country walk to the shrine of Fátima, located in Central Portugal, in the weeks preceding the 13th of May, sleeping in sport complexes, small hostels or tents.
On the 12th and 13th of May 2017 the shrine of Fátima celebrated the centenary of the (six in total) apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three poor shepherd children in Cova da Iria, the rural location where the shrine was erected following the events of 1917. Pope Francis canonised two of the three already deceased shepherd children in the presence of more than one million pilgrims from all over the world.
Each Portuguese has a strong and personal bond with the Fátima phenomenon whether one believes in the apparitions or not. What matters is the message of peace, light, hope and togetherness emanating from the events of 1917, highlighted by praying together during the pilgrimage on foot, promoting introspection and spirituality.

Since the ban on organizing the Harleyday in the Dutch city of Breda, every year on the third Sunday in August spontaneously a 'No Harleyday' is held.

Akkoord tussen bezorgers PostNL en de leidinggevenden van PostNL.
ostNL heeft een onderhandelingsakkoord bereikt met FNV Bondgenoten en vertegenwoordigers van de actievoerende chauffeurs. Dat heeft een woordvoerder vrijdag laten weten.
PostNL had een conflict met de chauffeurs, die als zelfstandige voor het postbedrijf werken, over onder meer de nieuwe, lagere tarieven voor de bezorging van pakketten. Maar nu is afgesproken dat de chauffeurs 1000 euro per week ontvangen, bij gemiddeld 145 tot 155 geplande stops per dag. Op routes met minder dan 145 adressen zal er 'maatwerk' plaatsvinden, aldus PostNL.

Dutch: Intrigerende vraag "Waarom is hij op het hek gaan zitten? Of heeft zij hem daar opgetild en neergezet?"
Hier was enig kunst en vliegwerk nodig om deze candid vanuit
dit standpunt te maken. Ze stonden zo minuten lang. Geen aandacht voor de omgeving.
