Today an acquaintance sadly found the celebrity beluga whale Hvaldimir dead further north in our county.
5 years ago, I met it for the first time in the harbour of Hammerfest in Northern Norway, a few months after it first appeared in the area in April 2019 - wearing a harness, clairly trained and accustomed to interacting with humans.
Three years later, it went on a long and lonely trip to the south of Norway, where it has stayed since then, with people following, watching and protecting it.
In May last year it visited our island, nearly 4 years after I met it for the first time far away.
I took some photos of it then, while playing with the ropes in the harbour, and of people watching it.
I was allowed to give the photos to the media, and they used them, but I realized now that I haven't used them myself, so here are some of them.
And another fun thing is that this was my first time meeting the children and their mom on the photos, who I met again both one year ago and today, while photographing their family and little brother for his 1st and 2nd birthday photo shoot ツ
