Is This Chester???:).

Nope...Chester was home safe & sound...This is a Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel watching us watch my sister & BIL as they started their climb. He's off the trail on the rocky downslopes. My brother spotted him & told me to turn around slowly with my camera ready...

Bella Italia!

Best large. Another view of Positano as we strolled on the many nice walkways in this truly fascinating steep town on the Amalfi coast.

Explore 08-31-07

we have a lot of these "cross" style window's here, - is it the spanish or the moorish influence??? gracias - anyone who knows (((:

also: i could easily photoshop the electrical line out, but it's kind of typical for how electrical lines were placed here... in the old days ((; plus i think it adds to it!

just in case you missed the comment further down posted by Sir Cam, here is the wonderful info he was so kind to leave for me:

"it's the classic eight point star, which is the most popular design in islamic art -- see my "Islamic Art" set for other examples! it's moorish in orgin -- taken to south america by muslim craftsmen post-1492 when they were expelled from spain or were forcefully taken across the seas. there are other examples of islamic influences in latin america, including arabic calligraphy!"

gracias, thank you Sir Cam - - - - so - it is definitely of moorish origin and i can see a lot of moorish influence in our architecture here in Mexico, all the cupula- and boveda ceiling construction, and yes, these windows !!!
