VA-610 and access to Blue Ridge Pkwy from US-250, 1 June 2022

Driving eastbound US-250, approaching Virginia State Highway 610 (VA-610) and signs for accessing the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and Swannanoa.
Notice in the background to the right - the building with the orange roof is a former Howard Johnson's Restaurant (operated for nearly 50 years before closing in 1998, based on online reports). Further up the hill is a former Holiday Inn, and late named The Inn at Afton, now completely closed and abandoned. Apparently after some online research, this was a very popular spot for tourists - but has fallen into serious decay.

Welcome to "Drake's Dreamy Delite" massive siding show. by Tim Kiser

Welcome to "Drake's Dreamy Delite" massive siding show.

I think somebody wanted to try to open up an ice cream shop? That sidewalk's unfortunately not gonna last forever.

I keep meaning to ask, does anybody know of any skyscrapers that are surfaced in house-siding?, it's something I have hoped to see. Plus will somebody fund me to travel to see it. The world's largest siding-covered bldg.

The cinderblock prop keeps me from havin to bend down so far once the time comes for me to have to get back at it, here in about 10 mins or so. Bees are buzzin all around me and I've got sunblock in my eyes.
