Due to rolling stock shortage of single articulated trams occasionally a double articulated tram saw service on tramline 1 in June 1968. © Henk Graalman
The first few weeks of the 'new' LRT tramline 1 to Osdorp. Tram line 17 turned around at the Surinameplein and the infrastructural works were not quite finished yet here. Note the use of timber planks to fill the gap between the tramstop and track work. The 699 on the left had a temporary stop short of the open work causing operational delays here.
