The mausoleum of the Penoyre Estate in the churchyard of Llandyfaelog-fach (Llandefaelog Fach). Encircled by a wall and built in Egyptianate style 1816.
It is in a pitiful state, overgrown and fenced off as unsafe. I was told the church would like to demolish it but as it is privately owned and the owner unknown, they have not been able to. The lead coffins have been vandalised, as we see here.

Here in Germany Halloween is not actually celebrated, instead (at least here in deepest Catholic Bavaria) people go to the cemetery on November 1st (All Saints' Day) and commemorate the deceased.
Not in this cemetery anymore, as the last ones to be buried here were unknown soldiers from World War II. However, most of the tombs date back centuries earlier, and it was later closed due to overcrowding.
This means that no one can be buried here anymore, but it is still cared for by the church.

Ar 21 Deireadh Fómhair, 1966, shleamhnaigh na mílte tonna de dhramhaíl ó ionad dumpála mhianach guail ar an sliabh os cionn sráidbhaile Aber-fan. Bhuail an meascán láib agus dramhaíola an scoil agus 21 teach. Scriosadh teachín agus maraíodh na háititheoirí go léir. Cailleadh 116 leanbh ar an scoil, agus cúigear múinteoirí.
Ba é an Bord Náisiúnta Guail, faoi Alfred Robens, a bhí freagrach as an dramhaíl. Is léir gurbh fhaillí a bhí i gceist, mar níor tugadh aird ar na foinsí faoin dramhaíl,. Ina ainneoin sin, h níor ionchúisíodh éinne agus níor tugadh ach £500 cúiteamh as gach leanbh a fuair bás.

On 21st October, 1966, thousands of tons of colliery waste slid down from a tip on the mountain above the village of Aber-fan. The waste struck the school and 21 houses. A cottage was destroyed and all its occupants killed. 116 children and five teachers were smothered to death at the school..
The waste was the responsibility of the National Coal Board, under Alfred Robens - Baron Robens of Woldingham CBE PC. There seems to have been obvious negligence in not taking note of the old springs under the waste tip, yet no-one was prosecuted and only £500 compensation was paid for each child.
