On the 3rd day of the new year we visited Colossal Cave with my nephew's family. Our five year old grand nephew has been very interested in caves. I debated about taking my "real" camera, but I'm glad I didn't. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago I could have scrambled up and down the stairs without using the hand rails, but not anay more, and I use a wrist strap for my camera which would have been awkward.

It's ten months since the last time I photographed golden eagles (Aquila chrysaetos) from hides (and all the crows, ravens and jays surrounding them).
Now I am on my way to southern Norway, to spend a day together with them again tomorrow. A nice way to end the year!
