A Pittsburgh & Lake Erie freight encounters a Conrail local working at Fleming.
The Conrail locomotive is a former New York Central / Penn Central unit — ironically the very railroads which once controlled the P&LE. The P&LE regained its independence in 1976 when Conrail emerged from the Penn Central’s collapse.
Scott Ascher's GE U30B is a Walthers Proto model; his EMD GP38-2 is a Life-Like Proto 2000. He weathered and installed Ring Engineering control systems with sound in each. Scott also took the photo.

The haberdashery chest that was still used in the first decades of the twentieth century by the Van Blijdesteijn family to go along farms.
During the Second World War, the peddlers went into the countryside as pedlars with the chest to sell their goods.
