I've been at my new home in even-more-rural Kansas for a few weeks now without taking or sharing any photos. It's not that there's nothing worth photographing, as I really enjoy the westward view over yet another field (though I will miss having such an obvious subject as my former tree). Tonight though was finally the night, as the sunset was particularly lovely. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few quick pics across the field before heading back inside. Not my best landscapes / sunsets, but to me the real beauty of these photos is the promise they show. I can't help but imagine storms rolling in over those distant hills and a night sky full of stars.

Here's to looking ahead.

Stonehenge is a magical place, a mystical door to innumerable worlds.
The full moon made the ancient stones glow with a vivid purple light under the sparse-clouded night sky.
The two cosmic warriors met there because they had very serious secrets to share.
However, they hadn't noticed yet a youngster who was approaching along the stone path.
