A concrete block apartment building!, with a noticeable cornice.

When I told you I live in a concrete block apartment building you probably didn't picture something like this did you sweetie.

According to the building's documentation for the National Register of Historic Places, the funny cornice was reconstructed circa 2014, as the building was being converted to apartments, to replace the original cornice, which was removed in the 1960s.

The "Peterson Paper Co." painting is intended to trick people into thinking that such businesses still exist in the U.S.

Out for a walk in downtown Moline!, on a sidewalk between two flower beds, between a street and a parking lot.

The horizontal white line through the grassy area in the distance is the top railing of a chain link fence, to try to discourage us from walking onto Interstate 74, and/or under it.

Ooh look at the brown stains down the middle of the sidewalk, maybe they're rust.

In Connecticut a parking garage from 1975 is famous for the curved walls and windows of its fun-style stairwells, and for the gray-'n'-beige of its 21st-century paintjob.

Per Ggl Streetview, the gray-'n'-beige paintjob is from sometime between August 2009 and August 2013. Before that, the concrete was nude.

It's a good name for a business because the two words sound beautiful with one another. To speak the words is to sing.

It's a lawn care/landscaping business, not a florist.

Desperately yellow message of DAILY, DAILY, DAILY, DAILY, DAILY. A pair of dice is your paradise at the Par-A-Dice.

I wondered, "Is it unusual for daily-rate rooms to be furnished? There's a Uhaul Shop down the road so maybe oftentimes people would be bringing their furniture to Vegas with them for a night or two? I'm just asking?"

Not that it would be a good idea for people to flock to Vegas with their furnishings, what with the 15% unemployment rate. Plus we all know gov't-distributed unemployment numbers are always way way lower than the unemployment numbers people are experiencing in their living reality — perhaps especially so in cities with scam-and-racket-based economies such as what Las Vegas has got.
