A detail of the "Alte Färberei" in Michelstadt, in my previous photo: the window that protrudes from the façade. I like those half-timbered houses, and in this case, the red colour used on the timber. I also noticed the wrought-iron sign holder on the house on the opposite side of the street, so I included that in the photo as well.

A monumental and authentic cast iron gate bearing the words "Baesveld", referring to the domain and the castle, also called "Merkenveld". It is near Loppem, Zedelgem, West-Flanders, and you pass it on a walking trail called the "Doeveren wandelroute" ('the Doeveren walk').
The gate probably dates from the mid 19th century.
