A photo by my late mother Mary Rogers who took this photo at Sydney Terminal aged 20 in 1949. She had previously travelled by train to the Snowy Mountains for her first ski holiday and had put together a photo album of the trip. However, she also wanted to have an image to represent the train trip so after returning, she went back to Central a few days later to get a pic which turned out to be this one of 3664 getting ready to depart from platform 4. Mum passed away on 23 Aug 2021.
BNSF # 3327 makes its way out of Springfield on a hot August evening with the C-WTMPAM.
On May 8, 2024 I noticed a sunspot that was large enough to be visible with just a dark filter, and no telescope, so I took a picture from our backyard using a telephoto lens. I had no idea that the dark smudge on the sun would become so interesting two days later.
