narrowed vision - verengte Sicht

Since a nasty cold/flu (I don't know for sure) has me more or less out of commission at the moment, I can neither go looking for new motifs nor can I think of any profound accompanying texts.
And so I resort to a photo from my archive that I took in Frankfurt am Main, which best reflects my current perception of the world.
But don't worry. Since I'm feeling better today than yesterday, I think I'm on the right track.

the open window - das offene Fenster

A last look at the Hamburg evening sky through the frame of a historic inner courtyard.
In this case it is not the Sprinkenhof, which you have already seen enough, but a facility that can be found right on the opposite side of the street, the Chilehaus.
This building, built in 1924, was also included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
From the photographer's point of view, it's not just the inner courtyard of the Chilehaus that is interesting. But during my visit there were so many construction sites in the area, that would have spoiled any photo, that I left it at this view.

Wedding Shoot in Palais Royal … they were all speaking Cantonese. The lady on the left coudn't wait to crash the scene, no doubt for the benefit of her Instagram or TikTok followers. At least her handbag matched the Buren columns :-)

New Mexico Museum of Art - Vladem Contemporary

September 6, 2024 - New Mexico Museum of Art - Vladem Contemporary located at 404 Montezuma Avenue in Santa Fe.

"When New Mexico Museum of Art was founded in 1917, it aspired to be a destination for contemporary art in the American Southwest. In 2014, as the museum approached its centennial, it reexamined its founding vision with an expansion to the Santa Fe Railyard District: Vladem Contemporary.

Robert and Ellen Vladem made the lead gift of $4 million in 2017 in a public-private campaign that resulted in $20.2 million partnership. The architectural team DNCA + StudioGP led by Devendra Contractor, Deirdre Harris, and Graham Hogan was commissioned to create an innovative structure that adapted an existing building as a showplace for the art of our time. In 1936, the Charles Ilfeld Company commissioned the building from contractor William Cooper as its Santa Fe warehouse and, after closing its operations there in 1959, sold the building to the state in 1960 as the new home of the State Records Center and Archives, under Director of Records Joseph F. Halpin. DNCA + StudioGP adapted the warehouse to serve as a museum space and added a second floor in the bridge-like form that spans the original structure.

This adaptive reuse of the building allows the New Mexico Museum of Art to increase its commitment to contemporary art and education programming through the addition of 9,969 square feet of exhibition space, 2,307 square feet of programmatic space in the Van Mabee Education Center, and 4,100 square feet to collections storage."
