Couronnement de la Vierge (vers 1250). Uzeste (département de la Gironde), ancienne collégiale.

Le portail se situe du côté sud de la nef. Les personnages ont été mutilés, mais il subsiste de nombreuses traces de polychromie.
Le tympan représente le Couronnement de la Vierge par le Christ, tous deux se tenant sur un trône commun. Ils sont flanqués et surmontés d'anges. Dans la voussure figurent d'autres anges agenouillés. Les scènes du linteau n'ont pas encore pu être identifiées.

La portada meridional consta de tres arquivoltas, está flanqueada por dos ventanas una de ellas con capiteles con leones y un águila.
La decoración de los canecillos tiene gran semejanza con los de la iglesia de San Pedro de Cervatos (Cantabria), siendo una muestra del románico erótico de Cantabria, ya que algunos canteros trabajaron en ambos edificios. Aparece un bóvido, un arpista, equilibristas, serpientes, un osezno, un ave, un carnero.

The southern doorway consists of three archivolts and is flanked by two windows, one of them with capitals with lions and an eagle.
The decoration of the corbels is very similar to that of the church of San Pedro de Cervatos (Cantabria), and is an example of the erotic Romanesque style of Cantabria, since some stonemasons worked on both buildings. There is a bovine, a harpist, tightrope walkers, snakes, a bear cub, a bird, and a ram.

La iglesia de San Andrés de Rioseco, situada a 3 kilómetros de distancia de Santiurde de Reinosa en Cantabria (Spain), es un bello ejemplo de románico rural de finales del siglo XII en la cuenca del río Besaya.
El edifico consta de una sola nave y ábside con cabecera semicircular, una portada en la fachada sur con cinco arquivoltas y decoración geométrica y vegetal. El interior destaca por su arco triunfal con capiteles interesantes como el de Sansón desquijarando al león y Daniel en el foso de los leones.

The church of San Andrés de Rioseco, located 3 kilometres from Santiurde de Reinosa in Cantabria (Spain), is a beautiful example of rural Romanesque from the end of the 12th century in the Besaya River basin.
The building consists of a single nave and apse with a semicircular head, a doorway on the south façade with five archivolts and geometric and vegetal decoration. The interior stands out for its triumphal arch with interesting capitals such as that of Samson breaking the lion's jaws and Daniel in the lions' den.

La iglesia de San Andrés de Rioseco en Cantabria (Spain) es una iglesia románica del siglo XII, y fue declarada Bien de Interés Local.
Este monumento consta de una sola nave y un ábside románico. La portada de acceso a la iglesia está situada sobre el muro sur del edificio con un tejadillo sin ninguna decoración, consta de cinco arquivoltas con escasa adornos escultóricos, solamente existen flores cuadripétalas, bolas y ajedrezado en algunos de sus arcos.

The church of San Andrés de Rioseco in Cantabria (Spain) is a Romanesque church from the 12th century, and was declared a Site of Local Interest.
This monument consists of a single nave and a Romanesque apse. The entrance to the church is located on the south wall of the building with a small roof without any decoration, it consists of five archivolts with few sculptural decorations, there are only four-petalled flowers, balls and checkered patterns on some of its arches.

The transepts and crossing at Rye St Marys date from the early twelfth century and feature rounded arches supported on columns topped with sculpted or carved capitals.

The architectural period known as Early English ran from about 1180 to 1275 and saw the introduction of pointed arches in place of the semi-circular arches of the earlier Norman Romanesque period.

The nave began construction in about 1180 and features Early English pointed arches supported on the columns and capitals of the earlier Norman Romanesque period.

La iglesia románica de San Lorenzo de Puyayo hoy está en el pueblo de Molledo en Cantabria (Spain), ya que fue trasladada piedra a piedra a mitad del siglo XX y salvada de la ruina, estando hoy bien conservada en una finca privada.
Esta iglesia fue consagrada en el siglo XII como consta en una inscripción por un obispo. El edificio se compone de una sola nave, ábside semicircular, una portada en la zona occidental con dos arquivoltas y canecillos encima de la cornisa de la entrada.

The Romanesque church of San Lorenzo de Puyayo is now in the town of Molledo in Cantabria (Spain), having been moved stone by stone in the mid-20th century and saved from ruin, and is now well preserved on a private property.
This church was consecrated in the 12th century, as stated in an inscription by a bishop. The building consists of a single nave, a semicircular apse, a doorway in the western area with two archivolts and corbels above the entrance cornice.

El ábside semicircular de la iglesia de Santa María de Bareyo en Cantabria (Spain) es de estilo románico datado en el siglo XII.
Este ábside está dividido en tres paños mediante columnas que contienen ventanas con varias arquivoltas, la ventana de la parte central es doble, todas ellas rematadas por diversas decoraciones románicas. Los canecillos de la cornisa, algunos de ellos muy erosionados, muestran animales, bolas y cabezas humanas.

The semicircular apse of the church of Santa María de Bareyo in Cantabria (Spain) is in Romanesque style dating from the 12th century.
This apse is divided into three sections by columns containing windows with several archivolts, the window in the central part is double, all of them topped by various Romanesque decorations. The corbels of the cornice, some of them very eroded, show animals, balls and human heads.

La sainte, munie d'une branche de palmier symbolisant son statut de martyre, s'appuie contre son attribut traditionnel, la tour, dans laquelle elle avait été emprisonnée.
Ce portail, dédié à saint Jean-Baptiste, a été financé par le chanoine de la cathédrale meldoise Jean de Marcilly, décédé en 1506.

La ventana central de su ábside tiene doble arquivolta con aves zancudas en la exterior y arquillos en la interior; los capiteles muestran cuadrúpedos y decoración vegetal y geométrica.

The hermitage of San Román de Escalante in Cantabria (Spain), is a Romanesque building from the 12th and 13th centuries, with a very austere doorway like the entire exterior, which is made of masonry. On the south side is the entrance to its single nave, which delights us with its architecture and sculptural beauty.
The central window of its apse has a double archivolt with wading birds on the outside and small arches on the inside; the capitals show quadrupeds and vegetal and geometric decoration.

La iglesia de Santa María del Puerto de Santoña en Cantabria (Spain) es un edificio iniciado en época románica durante el siglo XIII, evolucionado posteriormente al estilo gótico, por lo que quedan pocos elementos de estilo románico en el edificio.
Uno restos románicos que pudieran considerarse es la portada sur con su arcada de medio punto y sus arquivoltas, los capiteles muestran iconografía románica pero ya representados con formas góticas.
Este templo está declarado Monumento Histórico Artístico desde el año 1931.

The church of Santa María del Puerto de Santoña in Cantabria (Spain) is a building started in the Romanesque period during the 13th century, later evolved into the Gothic style, so there are few Romanesque elements left in the building.
One Romanesque remnant that could be considered is the south door with its semicircular arch and archivolts, the capitals show Romanesque iconography but already represented with Gothic forms.
This temple has been declared a Historic Artistic Monument since 1931.

El conjunto fue construido entre los siglos XIII al XVI fundamentalmente.
Esta portada, es denominada la puerta de las gentes de la villa y es una de los pocos elementos románicos que puede admirar el visitante con cinco arquivoltas y columnas con sus variados capiteles, además de los escudos alojados en el tímpano.

La portada occidental es de los pocos elementos románicos que se pueden admirar, tiene cuatro arquivoltas apoyadas sobre columnas con capiteles aludiendo a la lucha entre el bien y el mal, además de un sencillo tejaroz con canecillos de figuras humanas.

The church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles in San Vicente de la Barquera in Cantabria (Spain), built mainly between the 13th and 16th centuries, is on a rocky hill that stands out for its fortress-like appearance and monumentality.

La fachada occidental de la iglesia románica de los siglos XII y XIII de Santa María de Cambre (A Coruña) – Spain, contiene varias arquivoltas con decoración zoomórfica, en la exterior del tímpano representa al profeta Daniel entre dos leones rampantes.
El tímpano muestra el Agnus Dei (Cordero de Dios) dentro de un círculo sujetado por ángeles; a ambos lados de la puerta dos mochetas con cabezas monstruosas, los capiteles con el pesaje de las almas en el Juicio Final, San Miguel en lucha con el dragón, elementos geométricos y vegetales esculpidos en piedra que forman un bello conjunto.

La colegiata de Santa María del Campo en La Coruña (Spain), es un templo tardorománico empezado a construir en el siglo XII con sucesivas obras en épocas posteriores.
El tímpano en piedra de la fachada occidental es de gran belleza, la Virgen sujeta al Niño, a un lado está San José con aire de despistado, y al otro los tres Reyes Magos con sus regalos y en una especie de torre las tres cabezas de sus caballos. Arriba en la arquivolta en el centro el Salvador, con San Pedro y San Pablo y restos de discípulos, algunos de ellos con filacterias.

The collegiate church of Santa María del Campo in La Coruña (Spain), is a late Romanesque temple that began to be built in the 12th century with successive works in later times.
