Belmond DB 67021 with 67024 speed south at Weaver Junction in Cheshire with the returning empty VSOE stock for Liverpool South Parkway to pick up its passengers after the 2025 Grand National at Aintree.
* This is the site of the first Flying Junction in the world.
The WCML Warrington - Crewe section was opened through here in 1837 by the Grand Junction Railway and the Liverpool line constructed by the LNWR in 1869.
WCML occupies the centre two tracks and the up Liverpool - Crewe the far track via the Flying Junction opened in 1881.

After disgorging its well healed Aintree Grand National punters, DB Belmond liveried 67021 works the VSOE empty stock back to Warrington Arpley for servicing.
* This move required a reversal at Crewe after DB refused to take the stock via the Low Level line after unchecked lineside vegetation scratched the Pullman stock two years ago.
* Pole @ 8m.
Having earlier arrived with visitors from London Euston for the Grand National at Aintree racecourse, the Belmond British Pullman heads eastbound through Halebank empty after dropping its passengers off at Liverpool South Parkway. DB Cargo Class 67 loco 67021 leads the stock on the empty run from Liverpool over to Arpley Sidings via Crewe, with fellow classmate 67024 tailing the rear of the train.

Never shoot into the sun, they say. Well sometimes it’s that or nothing and the return Belmond Pullman ‘Historic Bath’ trip is a case in point, given its timing and the sun direction, at least in the Bath area. So here is 67021 passing Sydney Gardens with 1O92, 15:56 Bath Spa-London Victoria Pullman on 5 March, 2025. Luckily, digital technology is quite up to dealing with less than ideal lighting.
