A fairy fantasy - The magical fairy pools descending Coire na Creiche with the Black Cuillin living up to its name and looking dark and ominous as ever. The distinctive pyramidal pinnacle of Sgurr an Fheadain presides centre stage over this enchanted, almost fantasy, landscape.

The Blocks at sunset - Sunset across the Firth of Forth with the rich, warm light of golden hour sneaking through a gap in the clouds and catching the sidewall of 'The Blocks' at St Monans.

Another minimalist long exposure from Clevedon’s Marine Lake. I have a B&W photograph of the original stone walkway taken 20 years ago hanging on our lounge wall. When they refurbished the lake they replaced it with one made of modern materials. The Clevedon sunsets are still as good as ever though!

I am sure others have taken this composition but my take on a long exposure of Clevedon Pier looking across the Marine Lake.

Effervescent - A lively tide spills over 'The Blocks' as the sun sets over the Firth of Forth producing a colourful and moody sky.
The long(ish) exposure not only reveals the flow of the tide over 'The Blocks' but also an effervescence of the sea boiling below the breakwater.
A delightfully unique set of conditions at this iconic coastal location.

East Vows - A breezy day whipping up a large swell on the Firth of Forth sees waves rolling over East Vows.
With Bass Rock in the background, the beacon aka 'The Birdcage' marks the East Vows rocks hidden at high tide just below the water off the coast of Fife.

Stacked up – The immense Elegug Stacks catching the last of the day's sunlight before the encroaching shadows envelope the coast..
Also known as Stack Rocks, it's really hard to get an impression of the scale of these two dramatic carboniferous limestone sea pillars from the cliff edge, even though they are some 150 feet high. Located on the on the dramatic and remote south west tip of Wales, access is only possible at certain times across the MOD Castlemartin military range.
The long exposure really drew out the colours of this breathtaking coastal scene.

No fairies were harmed in the making of this image :)
